New Landscape Beds Installed at Beaver County Housing Authority

We just wrapped up a full landscape installation for the Beaver County Housing Authority's apartment complex. This was a big job - new beds, fresh plantings, and mulch throughout the entire property. The kind of work that turns a bare, freshly constructed site into something that actually feels like a place people want to come home to.

Here's what we were working with: a brand new building with zero greenery around it. No shade, no softness, nothing welcoming about the exterior. Our crew came in and built out all of the planting beds from scratch - laying down rich dark mulch, installing ornamental grasses, shrubs, and young trees at multiple spots around the building. Every bed was designed to work with the layout of the walkways and entry points.

The plant selection was intentional. Upright arborvitae along the fence lines for structure and privacy. Ornamental grasses tucked in front for texture and movement. Flowering shrubs near the building entrances. Compact boxwoods as low anchors throughout the beds. This is what a real landscape design plan looks like when it gets executed properly - not just random plants thrown in the ground, but a mix that works together and holds up over time.

Mulching is one of those details that a lot of people underestimate. A thick, clean layer of dark mulch does more than look sharp - it holds moisture, keeps weeds down, and protects root systems as new plants get established.
