Dead grass, bare dirt, and exposed utility lines - that's what we started with on this property. The yard had been torn up from construction work and left with nothing. No grass, no definition, just a rough patch of gravel and soil sitting right next to a beautiful stone and brick home. It needed a complete ground-up design.

We came in with a full landscape plan. The turf went in across the entire outdoor living space, creating a clean, consistent surface that runs right up to the patio edge. No patchy spots, no dead zones. What makes this type of turf installation work long-term is getting the base right before a single blade goes down - proper grading and compaction is what keeps it looking this good season after season.

The boulder work is what really ties the whole thing together. We set large natural boulders in a continuous line along the landscape bed, creating a sturdy border between the planted area and the turf. It's not just decorative - it holds the beds in place and gives the design some real weight and structure. Fresh dark mulch was laid throughout the beds, and new plants were tucked in around a weeping blue spruce and other established trees on the property.

The finished result is a yard that actually matches the quality of the home. The turf stays green without watering or mowing. The mulched beds with fresh plantings frame the space naturally. And the boulders give it that grounded, intentional feel you just can't get with plastic edging or wood borders. It's the kind of landscape design that looks sharp from day one and holds its shape without constant upkeep.
